Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account
You can use the Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to set aside tax-free dollars to pay for eligible dental and vision expenses, including orthodontia, LASIK surgery, glasses or contacts, and dental or vision coinsurance and copays.
The Limited Purpose FSA is designed to work with the Health Savings Account (HSA), so you must be enrolled in CDHP 20 or CDHP 30 to use it.
You cannot use the Limited Purpose FSA to pay for medical and prescription expenses.
You can elect to contribute up to $2,650 annually to your Limited Purpose FSA.
You must enroll in the FSA for every year you want to participate.
Your entire Limited Purpose FSA election is available to you on January 1, even if you haven’t yet saved the full amount.
Unused Limited Purpose FSA funds do not roll over from one plan year to the next. Any unused amount will be forfeited.
You have until December 31 to spend the money in your FSA and until March 31 of the following year to submit your claims.
